Thai Stir Fry Recipes

Stir-Frying-Recipes

Thai stir fry recipes utilize the very important sauté skill so widely seen in Southeast Asian cooking. “Pad” is the Thai word for sautéing, such as in Pad Thai, or sautéed Thai noodles. There are tons of Thai food recipes which are prepared with a wok or deep skillet. The food is delicious and can be made very quickly, which is ideal for satisfying serious hunger! Stir frying is really easy to do, so you do not need to graduate from culinary school in order to make special sautéed meals for your family.

You can quickly master the art of making stir fried noodle dishes, stir fried vegetables, stir fried seafood and plenty of other stir fried recipes. Personally, I like to sauté and many of my husband’s favorites come right off my range onto his appreciative plate. There is just no substitute for the sauté technique when making many authentic Thai food dishes.

Thai Stir Fry Recipes / Technique

The only necessary cooking equipment needed to stir fry are a wok (or frying pan) and a kitchen flipper or big ladle. The cooking style comes from Chinese cuisine, which teaches to sauté ingredients over high heat on the stove top. The trick of perfect stir fry technique is to cook through all the items fast without making any of them turn mushy. These some guidelines on the sauté cooking method:

  •  Turn on medium-high heat on the stove and put some oil in the wok or stir fry pan
  •  Wait for 1 minute until the oil starts to get hot, add garlic and fresh chilies and give them a stir
  •  Put meat or seafood ingredients first and stir until well cooked
  •  Add your choice of vegetables and season with soy sauce or oyster sauce
  •  Stir for 2-3 minutes
  •  Enjoy your meal

Thai Stir Fry Recipes Conclusion

Thai sauté recipes are everyday meals for Thai people. Remember, Thais don’t generally eat just a single entrée, since this provides limited taste sensations. I usually have at least 3 different entrées for my dinner, such as chicken green curry, omelets and sautéed broccoli with shrimp. That is one of the great enjoyments in life, the variety of food.

Once you learn to cook using a Thai stir fry technique, you can quickly and easily prepare many Thai food favorites. There is no limit on creating your own recipes by using this Thai cooking method and your favorite ingredients. I love broccoli rabe borrowed from Italian cooking. Therefore, I created sautéed broccoli rabe with spicy garlic sauce for my dinner sometime.

It is easier to make if you boil the vegetables and soak them in the ice water first. Rinse the cold water and add seasonings to the broccoli rabe. Stir fry very fast and then serve. What a good idea, right? What do you have in your mind? Let start with your favorite vegetables, meat or seafood, and try out your new sauté skill. You will see, it is not nearly as hard as you thought!
